DAEMON X MACHINA will be free on the Epic Games Store

Each week, those with an Epic game account can get their hands on a number of titles for free. This week, you can ‘purchase' the first-person physics-based puzzler ‘Relicta’. Next week however, you’ll be able to “Pilot your fully customizable Arsenal mech and join your fellow mercenaries in defending humanity from the corrupted machines and gigantic robots” in DAEMON X MACHINA.

Available to purchase and download for free from the 27th January until the 3rd of February, DAEMON X MACHINA is a high-speed mech action combat game in which “You are an Outer, a new breed of human being that appeared in the aftermath of the Moonfall calamity. As a mercenary for the Orbital organization, you are on the front line of a desperate war for humanity's survival against the Immortals—corrupted AIs that have rebelled against their human creators.”

Originally released for the Nintendo Switch exclusively back in 2019, the game suffered at the time from a lack of variety and quite harsh-to-look-at visuals on the handheld hybrid. Years from both its Switch and PC releases, DAEMON X MACHINA is now a worthwhile venture.

With mech and character customisation; a skill tree; online co-op and PvP, the game is in the best state it has been in. With the game coming to the Epic Games Store for free, now (well…technically next week) would be the best time to give DAEMON X MACHINA a try – especially if you are interested in PvP.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
