G.Skill shakes up Mini-ITX case designs with Z5i

G.Skill is well known around the world for its excellent memory kits and peripherals, but what about cases? This week, G.Skill is launching the Z5i chassis, a uniquely crafted pentagonal prism case with curved tempered glass side panels.

The G.Skill Z5i is a minimalistic and compact mini-ITX chassis, purpose built to support high-end PC hardware. There is a unique, pentagonal prism design with curved 4mm thick tempered glass side panels to wrap around the single-piece aluminium frame, forming a 5-sided case.

The Z5i supports liquid cooling radiators up to 280mm and high-end triple-slot graphics cards up to 330mm long. There is also room for two 2.5″ SSDs, as well as a third convertible 2.5″/3.5″ SSD/HDD drive slot. To enable a cleaner workspace, the Z5i also has a bottom-facing motherboard I/O panel, so cables can be easily routed and managed.

For easy access to external USB devices, the Z51 front panel has two USB 3.0 ports and a USB 3.1 Type-C port. There is also integrated ARGB lighting to give a colourful under-glow to the case.

The G.Skill Z5i chassis is already turning heads, having won the iF Design Award 2021 and the Red Dot Design Award 2021. Unfortunately, we do not have pricing and availability details just yet.

Path of Exile 2 has been in early access for around a year at this stage, but we are still quite a long ways off from release.
