Seagate launches 1TB Game Drive SSD for Xbox

Back when the Xbox Series X/S consoles launched, Seagate launched its 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 expansion card SSD. Now, Xbox console owners will have another option for speedy expandable storage, as Seagate has now launched the 1TB Xbox SSD Game Drive.

While the expansion card plugs directly into the back of an Xbox Series X/S console, the Game Drive SSD uses a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface for universal compatibility. The SSD comes in a lightweight and slim design with an illuminating Xbox green LED bar.

Setting the SSD up takes less than two minutes through the Xbox OS. Key features include USB 3.2 Gen 1 compatibility, compatibility with the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and Xbox One and of course, 1TB capacity, so you'll have plenty of extra room to store games.

Seagate's Game Drive for Xbox SSD comes with a three-year warranty and three years of Rescue Data Recovery Services. The drive launches today, priced at £144.99.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
