There is another Tomb Raider game on the way

Crystal Dynamics had a lot of success with the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy and it looks like the studio won't be leaving Lara Croft behind anytime soon. Currently, the studio looks to be hiring for a new Tomb Raider game, calling for candidates that can match the cinematic style of the Tomb Raider reboot.

Crystal Dynamics has been teasing that a new Tomb Raider is in the early stages of development as part of the franchise's 25th anniversary this year. Now, according to a job posting on Linkedin, the studio is beginning to recruit for the project, calling for applicants with “a similar cinematic style to the latest Tomb Raider reboot and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Without spoiling too much, Shadow of the Tomb Raider did end with plenty of room for a sequel. With that in mind, it looks like we'll be getting another entry in the same style, rather than another reboot, or a new version of Lara Croft.

Development is likely still in its early days, so it could be a few years before the next Tomb Raider is ready to be released. Crystal Dynamics is also working on multiple other projects at the moment, including a collaboration with The Initiative for Xbox's Perfect Dark reboot.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
