Cyberpunk 2077 has a new game director as CD Projekt undergoes internal shuffle

Back in March, CD Projekt Red announced that it would be making some internal changes to support development on multiple major projects at once. Now, we are starting to see that take shape, with Cyberpunk 2077 getting a new Game Director.

Previously, CD Projekt's Adam Badowski served as both Studio Head and Game Director on Cyberpunk 2077. Now, the director reigns are being handed over to Gabriel Amatangelo, who joined the studio in early 2020 and previously worked on Dragon Age Inquisition and Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Amatangelo will now handle director duties for future Cyberpunk 2077 content, including free DLCs and expansions, which are still planned despite the game's initial launch issues. Badowski will then focus more on the broader picture, as CD Projekt Red transitions to handling multiple major game projects at once.

At the moment, CD Projekt Red is still working on patches for Cyberpunk 2077, although there is evidence that post-launch content has also been in development for a little while now, so we should start to see new content announcements over the summer.
