Diablo Immortal delayed to 2022

Last night following the Activision Blizzard earnings call, it was announced that Blizzard's controversial mobile game, Diablo Immortal, will no longer be releasing this year.

Diablo Immortal was announced at Blizzcon 2018. At the time, many fans expected to hear about Diablo 4, not a new mobile-only spin-off and as a result, controversy ensued. Several years later, the outlook on Diablo Immortal is a bit more positive than it was previously, in part thanks to good feedback from alpha testers.

Blizzard had been planning to release Diablo Immortal this year, but it is now being pushed back to the first half of 2022 so that the development team can implement several gameplay changes and improvements.

These improvements include making PvP more accessible, changes to late-game PvE content and providing controller support as an additional option over touch-based controls. At some point ahead of launch, there will be a Diablo Immortal beta test.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
