Far Cry 6 gets new gameplay trailer and release date

Ahead of E3, Ubisoft chose to reveal some new Far Cry 6 details this week, showing off new gameplay and announcing the game's release date. While Far Cry 6 was initially due to release in early 2021, after a delay, the game will now be coming out in October instead.

The game takes place on the fictional island of Yara, caught in the middle of a revolution as locals try to overthrow a dictatorship led by Anton Castillo.

The game promises to offer “the most expansive Far Cry playground” to date. Players will be placed in the shoes of Dani Rojas, recruiting an army and engaging in guerrilla warfare across the island and its capital city, Esperanza.

Far Cry 6 is coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and Stadia on the 7th of October.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
