Amazon Studios MMO ‘New World’ gets new trailer ahead of August launch

Amazon Studios' upcoming MMO, New World, finally has a new release date. The game was delayed again back in February, but just a few months later, we have a new launch date. Assuming it sticks, you'll be able to play New World in August.

While the game was originally supposed to launch last Summer, the developers decided to push the game back for another year of development. New World is now due to release on the 31st of August, and there is even a new trailer to reintroduce us to the world of Aeternum:

New World will go into closed beta on the 20th of July, so pre-order customers can test the game out well ahead of time. If all goes well, we're unlikely to see another delay.

After the most recent delay, the developers have been taking the time to improve quest design and variety, as well as other features like PvP gameplay.

KitGuru Says: Have any of you played New World during its closed alpha tests? Do you think this MMO can be a success when it eventually comes out?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
