PC players can already reset Resident Evil Village demo timer for infinite playthroughs

Just as promised, the Resident Evil Village demo is now live across all platforms and in a predictable turn of events, PC players have already figured out how to get past the 1 hour time limit.

On the Steam forums for the demo, a user asked if anyone had found a way to disable the 1 hour time limit. Two hours later, workarounds were posted. As it turns out, deleting just a couple of files resets the in-game timer, allowing for more playing time.

Unfortunately, this doesn't completely disable the countdown, so you will only be able to play an hour at a time, before having to go through the process of resetting the timer again. We'd be surprised if there wasn't someone working on a way to completely disable the timer though.

The Resident Evil Village demo is available from today until next Monday, giving gamers one full week to try the game out for themselves. The full release of Resident Evil Village is coming this Friday, the 7th of May.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
