Xbox Game Pass has reportedly surpassed 23 million subscribers

Microsoft started off the year with 18 million Xbox Game Pass subscribers and over the last few months, some major game additions have caused that number to spike up again. At this point, Xbox Game Pass has reportedly hit a new all-time high of 23 million subscribers.

The addition of EA Play to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, followed by major games like Outriders and Bethesda titles coming to the service has boosted Xbox Game Pass once again. According to Jez Corden of Windows Central, the service now has 23 million subscribers, gaining an additional five million users since January. Of course, this is all without any major Xbox exclusive launches, like Halo Infinite.

There have been many questions and doubts over the business model behind Game Pass but Microsoft is continuing to scale up the service. As more subscribers have jumped on board, Microsoft has been able to invest more money into filling out the library with major titles.

In late 2021, Xbox Game Pass should get its biggest boost yet, as Halo Infinite will be added to the library across console, cloud and PC on day-one.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
