Corsair launches K65 RGB MINI – a 60% mechanical keyboard with 8,000Hz polling rate

Corsair has been very popular in the mechanical keyboard space for years now with full-sized and 10-keyless options but there has been a gap in Corsair's market – 60% keyboards. That changes today with the Corsair K65 RGB MINI, an ultra-compact 60% mechanical gaming keyboard with PBT double-shot keycaps.

Aside from its compact size, one of the key selling points for the K65 RGB MINI is the use of Corsair AXON hyper-processing technology, which first debuted on the Corsair K100. AXON is an on-board real-time operating system, paving the way for even faster polling rates. The K65 RGB MINI is capable of 8,000Hz polling rate over USB-C, meaning inputs are delivered eight times faster than standard gaming keyboards, which typically offer a 1,000Hz polling rate.

As you would expect, Corsair is sticking with Cherry MX switches for the K65 RGB MINI. There are different switch options available, starting with CHERRY MX Red for silky smooth and linear keypresses, CHERRY MX SILENT Red switches with a patented noise-reduction design and CHERRY MX SPEED Silver, featuring an ultra-fast 1.2mm actuation distance.

For those who want to personalise their keyboards, Corsair is also making PBT double-shot keycap kits available with six different colour options: Onyx Black, Arctic White, Elgato Blue, ORIGIN Red, Rogue Pink, and Mint Green. These key caps are 1.5mm thick and are less prone to wear and tear over time.

The K65 RGB MINI also benefits from improvements made to Corsair iCUE. Using iCUE, users can configure the tiny K65 RGB Mini to include all the features of a full sized keyboard, so you won't miss out on macros, media controls, key remapping etc.

The Corsair K65 RGB MINI keyboard is available starting today priced at $109.99/£109.99. The Corsair PBT double-shot Pro keycap mod kits are also available, priced at $29.99/£29.99.

KitGuru Says: The Corsair K65 RGB MINI is shaping up to be one of the most feature-packed 60% keyboards on the market. Do any of you use a 60% keyboard? Are you tempted to upgrade?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
