PS5 exclusive ‘Returnal’ delayed from March to late April

Sony has a few excellent looking PS5 exclusives lined up for 2021. Returnal from Housemarque Studios is one of them, but to give the team some extra time to polish the experience, the game has been delayed from its original March 19th release date.

In a tweet this afternoon, the official PlayStation Twitter account announced that the game is having its release date moved from the 19th of March to the 30th of April. This will give the team “extra time to continue to polish the game to the level of quality players expect”.

Returnal is a roguelike title taking place on an ever evolving alien planet. After each loop, combat situations and parts of the level will change, creating fresh new gameplay each round.

Returnal is coming exclusively to PS5 on April 30th. No other platforms are planned at this time.

KitGuru Says: Returnal had one of the most interesting trailers from Sony's PS5 reveal last year. Are any of you planning on picking this one up?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
