Bethesda unveils The Elder Scrolls Online: Gates of Oblivion

The Elder Scrolls Online is about to enter a new year of content. Last year, the focus was on the ‘Dark Heart of Skyrim'. In 2021, players of ESO will be moving on to the Gates of Oblivion, a new year-long adventure.

Things will get started with a new DLC pack coming on the 8th of March. The Flames of Ambition DLC adds two new PvE dungeons, which will send players off to attack a shrine to Mehrunes Dagon, a Daedric prince and the big bad guy of this year's adventure.

After that, the larger ‘Chapter' expansion will be coming in June. The first chapter expansion is called Blackwood and adds new zones including the Niben Forest, Blackwood Bog and the city of Leyawiin, which players will recognise from playing Oblivion back in the day.

There will be another chapter release later in the year to wrap up the Gates of Oblivion story. We'll hear more about that in the months to come.

KitGuru Says: What do you all think of ESO's next big adventure? Will you be hopping back in to explore the new Oblivion based zones?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
