CD Projekt Red releases official Cyberpunk 2077 mod tools

While Cyberpunk 2077 mods have been popping up since launch, these have all been made without any official modding tools. To help give the modding community a push, CD Projekt Red has now released some of the official mod creation tools for the game.

CD Projekt Red previously confirmed that it would “love to support the modding community”, but we did not know when to expect those tools to arrive. In the case of The Witcher 3, one of the last free DLCs for the game was a selection of mod tools a couple of months after launch. With Cyberpunk 2077, the timeline has been much quicker, with mod tools arriving this week.

There are just a few mod tools available at this point in time. The Metadata tool is required for some of the other modding tools to work. From there, we have ArchiveDump, a utility for listing contents of game data archives, and TweakDump, a utility for listing contents of binaries.

These tools will be updated alongside the game's patches to ensure compatibility. There may also be more tools added over time. You can find CD Projekt Red's official Cyberpunk 2077 modding tools HERE.

KitGuru Says: Cyberpunk 2077 is getting official mod support much sooner than anticipated. Hopefully this will lead to some more creative additions to the game generated by the community.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
