Nvidia’s latest driver preps for RTX 30 laptops and The Medium with RTX features

The Medium is coming out later this week and since this is an RTX-supported game, there is a new Nvidia GeForce graphics driver to go along with it. This week's driver update provides support for The Medium and its RTX features, GeForce RTX 30 series laptops and expands the number of G-Sync Compatible rated displays.

Earlier in the month, Nvidia announced that the RTX 30 series was coming to laptops. There are over 70 gaming laptops planned with the RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 in mind, both sporting a new set of 3rd Gen Max-Q technologies. Aside from new laptops, this driver also preps GeForce graphics cards for The Medium – Microsoft's first big exclusive game of 2021.

Developed by Blooper Team, The Medium is a horror game with gameplay taking place across two realities at the same time. The environments are enhanced with ray-traced lighting and shadows, as well as DLSS 2.0 to provide a performance boost for RTX graphics cards.

Finally, this driver update also adds support for eight new G-Sync Compatible gaming monitors. You can see the details on these newly rated monitors in the table below:

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
