Xbox’s Games with Gold for December announced

Each month, Microsoft offers a number of classic and newer Xbox titles for free to those who are subscribed to the console manufacturer’s ‘Xbox Live Gold’ subscription service. For the month of December, subscribers can get their hands on the action-shooter Bleed 2, as well as solve mysterious murders in The Raven Remastered and more, when December’s free games go live.

December’s Xbox Games with Gold titles are:

  • The Raven Remastered: Available December 1 to 31
  • Bleed 2: Available December 16 to January 15
  • Saints Row: Gat out of Hell: Available December 1 to 15
  • Stacking: Available December 16 to 31

The Raven Remastered is a remaster of 2013’s The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief which follows “Constable Anton Jakob Zellner in 1964 London, who is on the hunt for the legendary master thief, The Raven”. The game features “Classic murder mystery locations, high quality acting, and a compelling cast of characters” all wrapped up in “a thrilling, crime story whodunit where everyone has something to hide, and the Raven is always one step ahead!” Unfortunately, the game received mixed reviews, due mostly to technical issues. That being said, fans of the genre will likely find enough to warrant a playthrough.

Bleed 2 is a fast-paced 2D action-shooter which tasks you with “[defending] the world from an invading force of villains in seven intense levels with over twenty-five boss battles,” requiring players to “Master the art of air-dodging and take down a relentless barrage of bad guys.”

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell serves as a standalone expansion to Saints Row IV which sees players sucked down to hell in “a quest to save the soul of the Boss”. The game takes the over-the-top wackiness of Saints Row IV and turns it up to 11, making for a fun game to mess around in.

Stacking is a 3rd-person puzzle adventure game which sees you play as “Charlie Blackmore, the world’s tiniest Russian stacking doll” who embarks on “an adventure to rescue his family from the nefarious industrialist, The Baron.”

All of these titles will be available to those with an Xbox Live Gold subscription as well as those who are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
