The Medium delayed to avoid clashing with Cyberpunk 2077

One of Microsoft's big launch-window exclusives for the Xbox Series X/S has unfortunately been delayed. The Medium was originally due to release on the 10th of December, meaning it would have to compete with Cyberpunk 2077 without a delay.

Blooper Team says that the delay “wasn't an easy choice” but it seemed to be the right move “after careful thought and consideration”.

Of course, COVID-19 plays a role here, but so does “the current schedule of other games on the market”. Last week, Cyberpunk 2077 was delayed from November 19th to December 10th, meaning any game releasing on that same day or week is going to have a hard time gaining traction.

Now, The Medium will be coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC on the 28th of January.

KitGuru Says: It has been a while since I last played a really good horror game, so I've been looking forward to The Medium. Hopefully we'll get a chance to play it properly in late January.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
