World of Warcraft: Shadowlands pre-orders higher than any other expansion

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is finally releasing later this month after delays pushed it out of October and it is already looking to be the biggest expansion launch for the game so far.

During a recent Activision Blizzard earnings call, the publisher boasted that World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has the highest amount of pre-orders than any other expansion to date. The subscriber base has also seen a big boost since the launch of WoW: Classic last year.

“We've seen unprecedented engagement trends since the subscriber base doubled following the launch of Classic last year”, Activision CEO, Bobby Kotick said. “Pre-sales of the upcoming Shadowlands expansion are the highest we've seen at this stage ahead of any release.”

Engagement is also at an all-time high, indicating that more players are logging in each day in anticipation for the new expansion. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will officially launch on the 23rd of November.

KitGuru Says: We tend to hear statements like this ahead of each WoW expansion, so this isn't too surprising. Are many of you jumping back into WoW for Shadowlands?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
