Call of Duty: Mobile has surpassed 300 million downloads

The Call of Duty franchise made the jump to mobile just over one year ago and during that time, it has become a huge hit. At this point, the game has been downloaded over 300 million times.

As confirmed by Matt Lewis, General Manager for Call of Duty: Mobile, the game has surpassed 300 million downloads across Android and iOS combined:

As pointed out by Gamasutra, Call of Duty: Mobile has remained high up on the top grossing charts for mobile apps, particularly in the United States.

Activision Blizzard has been pleased with the game's performance too, noting “strong sequential growth in engagement and player investment”, which is essentially business speak for players are spending more time and money on the game.

KitGuru Says: Unfortunately we don't have any dollar amounts to note here but there is no doubt that Call of Duty: Mobile is earning a ton of money.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
