Cyberpunk 2077 goes gold, game world map leaks

If you were worried about Cyberpunk 2077 being delayed again, then you can now put those worries to rest. Today, CD Projekt Red announced that Cyberpunk 2077 has officially gone gold, meaning the game is complete and ready for production. Elsewhere, the full game map has also hit the web.

In game development, going gold is a huge milestone. At this point, CD Projekt Red will have a Master Disc that can be sent to base all other physical copies off of. When a game goes gold, physical copies are produced and release plans are locked in.

Physical copies entering production also paves the way for leaks though, as we have also seen this week. The company in charge of producing the paper maps of Night City, which ship with physical copies of the game, has leaked the game map, showing off all the major districts.

Of course, there could be parts of the game that take place outside of Night City, so there could be more beyond what we see on the map.

KitGuru Says: Cyberpunk 2077 is officially coming on November 19th and at this point, it looks like nothing will be getting in the way of that. Are many of you planning on picking this up on day one?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
