Rainbow Six Siege will run at up to 120 frames per second on next-gen consoles

Last night during Ubisoft Forward, Rainbow Six Siege had a small update, with the publisher announcing that the game will be getting a free upgrade for those upgrading to next-gen consoles. This upgrade won't just bring a graphical boost, but it will also bring a big frame rate boost too.

Rainbow Six Siege will be available on the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 this year, with both versions capable of running the game at up to 120 frames per second:

There isn't a specific date for when this upgrade patch will be available, but anyone who already owns Rainbow Six Siege on Xbox One or PS4 will be able to play on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 at launch via backwards compatibility. An upgrade patch will then arrive to unlock the full potential of new console hardware.

Rainbow Six Siege has a big few months ahead, as the latest season, Operation Shadow Legacy, kicks off this week.

KitGuru Says: It is good to see Ubisoft bringing Rainbow Six Siege forward into the next generation. The game is still running perfectly strong and isn't necessarily in need of a sequel just yet.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
