Patriot introduces the VP4300 Lite PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD

Patriot has recently announced the launch of their latest PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, the VP4300 Lite. Capable of providing sequential read speeds of up to 7,400 MB/s and storage capacities of up to 4TB, the VP4300 Lite aims to provide gamers with a potent combination of speed and storage to fulfil all their gaming needs.

Delivering sequential read speeds of up to 7,400 MB/s (6,100MB/s on PS5) and write speeds of 6,400 MB/s, the VP4300 Lite PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD can almost saturate a PCIe 4.0 x4 bus. Capacities range from 500GB all the way up to 4TB. The 2TB model is rated with a durability of up to 1600TBW.

The Patriot VP4300 Lite PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD is compliant with the NVMe 2.0 standard and supports Toggle 5 and ONFi 5 mode Flash with up to 2400 MT/s double data rates. Moreover, it comes in a DRAM-less design and features an embedded thermal sensor to prevent thermal throttling.

The SSD is cooled using an ultra-thin graphene heat spreader, making it fully compatible with the PlayStation 5. That makes it the first PC-PS5-compatible SSD from Patriot Viper. The official release date for the VP4300 Lite will be released later in 2023.
