Recently, companies in Japan began temporarily closing down to slow the spread of COVID-19. Unsurprisingly, this has had an impact on game production and as a result, delays are starting to be announced. One of the first is Death Stranding for PC, which has been pushed back by a few weeks.
Kojima Productions announced the change in release date on Twitter earlier today:
Following the temporary closure of KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, we have had to delay the PC launch of DEATH STRANDING to July 14, 2020, to allow more development time amidst the current work-from-home orders in place. Originally, Death Stranding was due to come to PC on June 2nd. It will be the first game to land on PC utilising the Decima Engine from Guerrilla Games. A second PS4 exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn, is also due to release on PC this summer.
