Cooler Master set to launch Raspberry Pi 4 case

Cooler Master is well known throughout the enthusiast scene for its desktop PC cases and components, however, the company is about to launch its first of a new series of cases designed for an ultra-compact form factor.  

This week, Cooler Master announced the launch of a new Kickstarter project which sees the company unveil a tiny case designed specifically to house the Raspberry Pi 4. The Cooler Master Pi 40 case will be launching Tuesday 7^th July exclusively on Kickstarter, with a special introductory discount of 25%. The Cooler Master Pi 40 case features a rugged design, manufactured from a thick aluminium shell that is protected by high-grade TPU rubber. The Pi 40 case is also splash and dust resistant as well as being wall mountable via the included 4x wall/VESA mounting brackets made from a highly durable and flame retardant PC plastic.

Another interesting feature of the Cooler Master Pi 40 case is its passive cooling. The aluminium core of the case makes direct contact with the Raspberry Pi 4 processor, which Cooler Master claims to offer users with lower CPU temperature and therefore higher CPU clock speeds. Compared with its competitors, the Cooler Master Pi 40 makes the Raspberry Pi 4 silent in operation due to this passive cooling design. Unlike some other Pi cases, no fans are required with the Pi 40 case to keep CPU temperature under control.

Cooler Master is also proud of the 100% accessibility of the case which allows unrestricted access to all of the Raspberry Pi 4 boards GPIO, camera and display connections, without sacrificing looks, size or the rugged design. The Cooler Master Pi 40 case also includes a handy re-mappable power button.
