Valve Index Headset, Sea of Thieves and DOOM Eternal top Steam charts

The Valve Index headset has been very successful so far, often selling out on the Steam Store and appearing on the platform's top-seller list. Over the last week, the Valve Index was able to take the top selling spot on Steam once again, even in the middle of the on-going Summer Sale.

The Valve Index is not discounted as part of the Steam Summer Sale, but it appears that many summer discount shoppers are indeed picking the headset up. This may well be spurred by the number of VR games that are currently discounted, including Valve's excellent Half-Life: Alyx.

For the week ending on the 27th of June, Sea of Thieves and DOOM Eternal are the second and third best selling products on Steam respectively. From there, we have Titanfall 2, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Detroit: Become Human, Satisfactory, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption 2 making up the rest of the top ten.

Impressively, Titanfall 2 and Sea of Thieves are picking up a lot of new players thanks to their recent launches on the Steam platform.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
