Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered trailer leaks, game may release this week

There have been plenty of rumours surrounding Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered but last night, we finally got proof. The PlayStation Network accidentally made a listing for the game live early, revealing the full trailer.

The Twitter account ‘MW2 Remastered' has already shared the trailer online after downloading it from a PSN Germany listing:

As expected from previous leaks, this is specifically the campaign remastered and not the multiplayer modes. However, there is a new season of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare coming up, so we may see some of the old multiplayer maps return in the new game.

According to VGC, Activision is planning on releasing MW2 Campaign Remastered this week, with an official announcement potentially even coming later today.

KitGuru Says: I really enjoyed the new Modern Warfare campaign but I'll always have a soft spot for the original and its sequel. Are any of you thinking about picking up Modern Warfare 2 Remastered?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
