Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut reportedly coming to more platforms later this year

Earlier this year during the big Nintendo Switch 2 Direct Showcase, an expanded remaster of sorts for the highly-praised Yakuza 0 was announced for Nintendo’s – then – upcoming console. At the time, there was no word on whether this ‘Director’s Cut’ would find its way onto other platforms. Fortunately, it appears as though the remaster is slated to launch on other systems later this year.

As reported by the publication PPE.pl (who recently leaked MSFS 2024 coming to PS5), RGG Studios’ Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is slated to launch on PC and PS5 later this year – more specifically the 8th of December 2025.

It appears as though an official announcement is imminent, with the publication claiming that pre-orders for the game could go live as soon as this week.

While it is likely that the Director’s Cut will also make its way to Xbox, the insiders could not offer anything conclusive, simply stating (as translated by ResetEra user ‘–R’) “there is a chance that the game will also be released on this platform, but only as a digital download (without a physical release).”

Finally, while the game is said to be priced at $44.99, it is unknown whether SEGA / RGG Studio will offer an upgrade path for those who own the original on last-gen systems. We will have to wait and see.
