Sonic has been redesigned for live-action film, new trailer released

Back in May, the first trailer for the Sonic The Hedgehog live-action movie dropped, revealing a rather shocking, humanised design for the character. It didn't take long for criticisms to send the film creators back to the drawing board and now, there is a new trailer for the film featuring the new, much improved Sonic design.

Sonic The Hedgehog director, Jeff Fowler, explained back in May that fan feedback was being taken seriously after the first trailer, adding that the film would be delayed to give them a chance to fix the character. Now, the new trailer is out, with Sonic looking much more like himself:

So far, fan reactions seem to be overwhelmingly positive, with many tweeting about the design improvement and how the new trailer does a better job of expressing Sonic's various character traits.

Of course, it is still too soon to say whether or not the movie will be good but at the very least, fans seem to be back on board once again. Sonic the Hedgehog will release on the 14th of February 2020.
