GeForce Now for Steam Deck gets major update

It has been a while since we last had an update for the GeForce Now app on Steam Deck. This week, that is finally changing, with GeForce Now for SteamOS getting a major upgrade. On top of that, six more games are joining the GFN cloud gaming library this week.

The Steam Deck makes for a fantastic streaming device. I've been using GeForce Now on my Steam Deck for over a year at this point. Thanks to the Stean Deck's 720p resolution, you don't need as much bandwidth to achieve a solid stream and in my experience the RTX 4080 tier on Steam Deck feels just as good as native, but with better graphics settings and frame rates for AAA titles, versus trying to run them locally. The new version of the GeForce Now Steam Deck app is now available, with full support for the Deck's controller, including the touchpads.

This week's GeForce Now announcements also include confirmation on six new titles joining the library, including:

  • Nice Day for Fishing (New release on Steam, May 29)
  • Cash Cleaner Simulator (Steam)
  • Tokyo Xtreme Racer (Steam)
  • The Last Spell (Steam)
  • Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon (Steam)
  • Torque Drift 2 (Epic Games Store)

From now until July 6th, Nvidia is also holding the GeForce Now summer sale, offering 40% off on six-month Performance tier memberships.
