Future DualSense update to allow for pairing with multiple devices

One of the more interesting aspects of the PlayStation 5 is the fact that its DualSense controller is able to receive updates, improving everything from connection stability to the accuracy of its haptics and more. In an update arriving later this year, the DualSense will soon be able to pair with multiple devices simultaneously.

Making the surprise announcement via Twitter, the official PlayStation page wrote: “Want to pair your DualSense controller to multiple devices at once? An update planned for later this year enhances pairing functionality. Stay tuned for more details.”

DualSense Update

While a relatively minor addition, being able to pair your controller to a handful of devices takes away the unnecessary steps of re-pairing the controller anytime you want to switch from your PS5 to a PC / phone or vice-versa.

Considering the fact that PlayStation is increasingly entrenching itself into the PC market (and even smartphones), enhancing the DualSense to be more universal makes a great deal of sense.
