Microsoft reportedly working with Capcom to bring missing games to Xbox

Microsoft/Xbox was recently in the centre of a mini controversy, when it was announced that the Marvel vs Capcom collection would not be coming to Xbox consoles – seemingly due to its use of the unsupported MT Framework. According to an insider however, Microsoft is actively working with Capcom to bring MvC – among others – to Xbox.

During the Xbox Two Podcast, known industry insider Jez Corden offered new details on the Marvel vs Capcom Collection, claiming that Microsoft is “actively” working with Capcom to bring MT Framework support to the Xbox.

Not only would this allow the upcoming Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics to come to Xbox, but multiple other Capcom titles including the recently released remaster for Monster Hunter Stories and The Great Ace Attorney.

Capcom have historically had a close relationship with PlayStation, and this tech incompatibility could have pushed them further – and so it is encouraging to see Microsoft actively trying to fix the issue.
