Fans uncover evidence that Liberty City will be in GTA 6

Last week, Rockstar unveiled a ton of new details about Grand Theft Auto 6. We now officially know that the new game will take players to a greatly expanded version of Vice City, the GTA universe version of Miami. Now, fans have pieced together evidence that shows we may also return to Liberty City in the new game.

A fan-run GTA news account has shared a bunch of evidence that points towards Liberty City playing a role within the GTA 6 story. For starters, one of the game's main characters, Lucia, is originally from Liberty City, but moved to Vice City after a stint in prison.

Throughout the latest trailer for GTA 6, we also see some other teasers, including bikers wearing Liberty City hats, and Liberty City license plates on cars. Signage shown on the roads of Vice City point to multiple airports and fans even spotted a map in the background of a store, that appears to show Liberty City.

This wouldn't be the first time that Rockstar has included multiple maps in a game. In Red Dead Redemption 2, players spend some time in Guarma, and the original map from Red Dead Redemption 1 is also teased. A small version of Liberty City was also included in GTA: San Andreas.

Players will primarily know Liberty City from Grand Theft Auto IV. In the GTA universe, Liberty City is a fictionalised version of New York. So far, Rockstar has made no official announcements but GTA 6 was developed under the codename ‘Project Americas', which hints at the ability to hop around the country, rather than being limited to one city.

KitGuru Says: If Liberty City is included in GTA 6, I would expect it to be a small instance like visiting Guarma in Red Dead Redemption 2. With that said, Rockstar does have a habit of surprising people, so there could be more to it.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
