Battlefield Hardline open beta to launch next week

EA has announced that the open beta for Battlefield Hardline will take place next week on the 3rd of February on the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The beta will give you access to the full progression system, which we will see in the final game.

The beta will include three maps and three game modes. For game modes we will get Hotwire, which focuses on high speed chases, classic Conquest and the new Heist mode. Conquest will support 24 players on last generation consoles while it will support 64 players on the PC, Xbox One and PS4.

The three maps included with the beta include Downtown, Dust Bowl and Bank Job.

One new feature known as ‘Hacker' will let one player on each team manipulate the battlefield by using security cameras and directing allies and spotting enemies.

Battlefield Hardline is due out on the 20th of March here in the UK for all platforms. Visceral Games originally delayed the game from October last year to do more work following the last beta test.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
