Xbox One February update starts rolling out

The Xbox One February update has started rolling out, including game hubs, a quick connect controller function along with updates to party chat and TV. Microsoft has listed the changes coming in an Xbox Wire post, starting off with the controller improvements.

The Xbox One controller takes a while to sync up with the console, which can be fairly annoying. The new update will half the amount of time it takes to connect the controller. In order to update the controller's firmware, you will need to plug it in via micro USB.

Game hubs are a new feature, every Xbox One game will have its own hub, showing leaderboards, broadcasts, which friends are playing along with guides in-case you get stuck. Game developers will also be able to share content on the activity feed for games that you follow.

Party chat is getting some improvements for those with moderate NAT types, connection issues should also significantly decrease.

Customisation options are finally coming to the console's home screen, allowing you to make tiles transparent and set your own custom background for the system.

Finally, updates are coming to the Xbox One's TV feature. From now on, the One Guide will display what is trending on Xbox One or Twitter, there will also be some updates to the IR blaster for better control.
