The Corsair K70 Core TKL keyboard is getting a significant upgrade for 2024. The latest version of the keyboard, available in wired and wireless form, comes with improved Corsair MLX mechanical switches, providing better typefeel, in addition to some extra sound dampening to keep noise levels down.

The new pre-lubricated Corsair MLX Red v2 switches are rated for up to 80 million clicks, making them as durable as most other premium mechanical switches on the market. This time around, Corsair has also added two layers of sound dampening foam to reduce unwanted clacks while typing away, or mashing keys during gaming hours.

If you go for the wireless version, you will benefit from Corsair Slipstream, the company's low-latency wireless solution. Over Slipstream wireless, the K70 Core TKL Wireless can offer up to 890 hours of use on a single charge. If you switch over to Bluetooth, that number jumps up to 2,400 hours, so you could get months of use out of it before needing to plug in.

The K70 CORE TKL series includes an option to enable FlashTap, a brand new SOCD system with modes that prioritize the first or last key pressed. FlashTap gives competitive gamers an advantage in skilled movements like rapid strafing and mirroring, making every move faster and easier to master. However, do be warned that some titles have begun banning these features, like Counter-Strike 2, so make sure you double check if such a feature is banned in your favourite online game of choice before activating it.

The K70 Core TKL also includes Game Mode, which will lock easily mispressed keys and switch RGB lighting to a static colour, reducing latency so you can lock into the game without interruptions. For those long gaming sessions, Corsair includes a magnetic cushioned palm wrest.

This keyboard also has a multi-function dial, so you can quickly access setting adjustments like volume, backlighting, scrolling, zoom and more. When you do need to plug the keyboard in for a charge, you just need to grab the included USB-C cable, which you can completely dethatch for easier portability.

The Corsair K70 Core TKL and K70 Core TKL Wireless keyboards are available now, priced at £89.99 for the wired version and £139.99 for the wireless version.
