Asus launches TUF Gaming VG27AQL3A Fast IPS monitor

Asus has introduced a new QHD gaming monitor with a high refresh rate, the TUF Gaming VG27AQL3A. This new monitor uses the sub-brand's usual design approach, using a dark grey casing with a few gaming aesthetic elements here and there.

Boasting a 27-inch Fast IPS display, this monitor has a low response time of 1ms GTG and a fast 180Hz refresh rate at 1440p resolution. For colour accuracy, you get 130% of the sRGB and 96% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

The TUF Gaming VG27AQL3A supports 8-bit colour depth and has a typical brightness of 350 nits. The peak brightness of 400 nits allowed the monitor to receive the VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. With this monitor, gamers will be able to enjoy a tear-free gaming experience with AMD FreeSync Premium, VESA AdaptiveSync Display certification, and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility. This monitor is equipped with several other technologies, including ELMB Sync, Variable Overdrive, GameVisual colour presets, GamePlus overlay, Shadow Boost, and DisplayWidget Center.

Health-conscious gamers will appreciate the Flicker-free and Low Blue Light technologies, which are TUV Rheinland certified and reduce eye strain during extended gaming sessions. For added convenience, the monitor comes with built-in 2W speakers, two HDMI 2.0 inputs, a DisplayPort 1.4, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and a headphone jack. The monitor also comes with a fully ergonomic stand that supports swivelling, bi-directional pivoting, height adjustment, and tilting.

KitGuru says: There are plenty of QHD gaming monitors out there. However, the 180Hz refresh rate of the Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQL3A will help it to stand out from the rest.
