MSI reveals its latest stylish ‘Modern’ series ultrawide monitor

MSI has unveiled the Modern MD342CQP, a 34-inch ultrawide monitor designed for professionals and casual gamers. This brings plenty of screen area, a decent refresh rate, and intelligent features to enhance productivity and entertainment.

The 34-inch VA display offers an expansive workspace for multitasking, content creation, and gaming. Its 21:9 aspect ratio allows users to view various content simultaneously, minimising the need for multiple monitors. There are also Picture-in-Picture (PIP) and Picture-by-Picture (PBP) modes, which enable users to display media from various sources simultaneously.

With the monitor's USB-C port with DP alt mode and 98W power delivery, users can streamline their workspace by powering devices, transferring data, and outputting video using a single cable, freeing up desk space. This port is complemented by 2x HDMI 2.0b (UWQHD @ 100Hz), a DisplayPort 1.4a, 2x USB-A ports (5Gbps), a 3.5mm headphone-out, and 2x 3W speakers. Furthermore, the KVM switch capability enables users to operate several devices with a single keyboard and mouse, making it easy to move between business and personal chores.

The display covers up to 92% of the Adobe RGB, 95% DCI-P3, and 119% sRGB colour gamuts. It has a typical brightness of 300 nits, a 10-bit colour depth, and a 3500:1 contrast ratio. The 120 Hz refresh rate, 4ms G2G (1ms MPRT) and a 3440×1440 resolution. The PI software provides one-click access to various smart tools and screen settings..

The monitor is built for user comfort, with eye-care technology and an ergonomic stand that supports tilt, swivel, and height adjustment. The Modern MD342CQP(W) monitor is now available to order in black or white for £300/$350.
