QNAP interview at the Broadcast Video Show

This week at the Broadcast Video Show in London, we had the chance to catch up with QNAP. We had a chat with their technical guru, Thomas Jepps, who walked us through the new NAS systems hitting the market, each targeting specific markets. If you're looking to work with huge video files on a PC or Mac, alone or in a team, then this could be interesting to you.

Featured in the video, you'll find the QNAP HS-453DX, which was shown for the first time in the UK. This system is a fanless, silent multimedia NAS with a hybrid storage structure and HDMI 2.0 output for 4K/60Hz. QNAP's Thunderbolt to 10Gbe adaptor is also on the way, which will pave the way for faster networking on Mac systems.

Finally, the TVS-1282T3 is garnering a lot of interest now thanks to prices coming down for high capacity SSDs and HDDs. We reviewed this particular NAS system late last year. We gave it our ‘Must Have' award, with praise for impressive hardware, QTS software and room for expansion.

KitGuru Says: QNAP is going to have more to show off in 2019, so stay tuned.
