MSI launches upgraded Optix G274F gaming monitor

MSI has recently introduced the successor to the MSI Optix G274, known as the MSI G274F, which comes with notable improvements over its predecessor. One of the key upgrades is the enhanced refresh rate, now reaching an impressive 180Hz.

This new MSI G274F has a 27-inch Rapid IPS display, offering Full HD resolution and 1ms GTG (Gray-to-Gray) response time. The features of the panel include a typical brightness of around 250 nits, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and an 8-bit (6-bit + FRC) colour depth. Moreover, it covers 134% of the sRGB colour space, 94% of the Adobe RGB colour gamut, and 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space.

In terms of connectivity, the MSI G274F offers two HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2a input and a convenient headphone jack. Then there's the stand, which only provides tilt adjustment capabilities, providing users with some ergonomic customisation.

The MSI G274F has a handy 5-way OSD navigation joystick, Night Vision for enhanced visibility in dark scenes, flicker-free technology to reduce eye strain, low blue light mode for reduced blue light emissions, and Nvidia G-Sync Compatibility for smooth and tear-free gaming.

KitGuru says: The improvements over its predecessor should be noticeable for almost everyone. However, it is still a 1080p 27-inch display, so the pixel density won't be great.
