Scorn’s launch day brought forward by a week

Scorn has been long in the making. The first-person survival puzzler has for years interested fans with its HR Giger-inspired visuals. Originally announced to be launching on the 21st of October, Scorn has now been brought forward by a week.

Making the announcement via a short trailer titled “You’ve waited long enough…” Ebb Software revealed that Scorn, which was originally intended to release on the 21st of October, would now be coming one week earlier, on the 14th – meaning the game is just two short weeks away.

For the uninitiated, Scorn is described as “an atmospheric first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe of odd forms and somber tapestry. It is designed around the idea of ‘being thrown into the world’. Isolated and lost inside this dream-like world, you will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion. The unsettling environment is a character itself.”

Scorn was first announced all the way back in 2014, though it suffered somewhat developmentally due to an initially unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign. Following some private investing, Ebb Software gave Kickstarter another chance, this time seeing Scorn successfully funded.

Scorn has been long in development, and so to see the title being brought forward by a week right at the 11th hour is both encouraging and exciting for the developers at Ebb Software, as well as the many fans looking forward to it.
