Ubisoft reaffirms that BG&E2 is coming despite multiple game cancellations

Last week we reported that Ubisoft had delayed Skull & Bones for the 6th time while cancelling three unannounced games. Another title which has been long in development is Beyond Good & Evil 2 leading some fans to fear for its future. Fortunately, Ubisoft has reaffirmed that the game is still in development.

As reported by PCGamesN, following the announcement that Skull & Bones had been delayed once again with three other titles cancelled outright, Ubisoft released a statement to the publication to ease the fears of Beyond Good & Evil fans, saying:

“Beyond Good and Evil 2’s development is underway and the team is hard at work to deliver on its ambitious promise.”

Though we saw little in the way of official news regarding Beyond Good & Evil 2 last year, 2022 did offer plenty of updates on the title, with leaks and rumours claiming that the game is still “years away” and that it is said to be in early development despite the title taking the world record for the longest game development period, clocking in at a concerning 5,234 days.

Hopefully 2023 will give us greater insight into the BG&E2’s current status in an official capacity.
