Blizzard aims to release Hearthstone expansion in July

Blizzard is aiming to release its first Hearthstone expansion, Curse of Naxxramas, in July, Community Manager, Aratil posted on the game's forum. The Curse of Naxxramas will be the Collectible Card Game's first single player expansion, featuring a small story line and adding 30 new cards to the game.

“Just wanted to give everyone a head's up that we are currently targeting to release Curse of Naxxramas during the month of July,” the post reads. “Unfortunately, we still have a lot of implementing and bug fixing to get through, so please stay tuned! With that said, we are also targeting to reveal pricing details regarding Curse of Naxxramas next week on July 1, so please keep an eye out for that.”

The single player expansion will release simultaneously across all platforms that the game is currently available on. Players will be able to use their deck of choice and face off against AI controlled bosses.

We don't have the full list of cards yet but some of the cards coming out with the expansion should help shake the game up a bit.

KitGuru Says: I play Hearthstone quite regularly but I think many would agree that the game does need some new cards to shake things up a bit. I'm looking forward to the new expansion but I wasn't aware that it would cost anything, that said, it will probably be similar to arena where you can choose to pay with cash or in-game gold. How many of you guys play Hearthstone? Are you looking forward to the new cards and single player mode?
