We test the USB 3.0 performance on the PC Specialist Vanquish Enforcer system with one of our fastest portable flash drives – the Patriot SuperSonic Magnum 256GB. We reviewed this back in February, check it out over here.

Excellent performance from the USB 3.0 controller, peaking at over 300 MB/s in the sequential read test. This is around 3 times the performance of the internal 7,200 rpm hard drive! Due to the nature of this kind of flash, and via the USB 3.0 interface, 4k and 4k QD32 performance is substantially worse than from a native SSD drive across a SATA connector.
