While we usually tend to focus on gaming peripherals for the PC specifically, today we are taking a look at the Kingston HyperX CloudX Headset, a revision of the Cloud II designed with the Xbox One in mind. The HyperX Cloud II is widely considered to be one of the best ‘bang for buck' gaming headsets around and now, Xbox gamers can also see what they've been missing. How does the CloudX hold up and what are the differences compared to the Cloud II? Let's find out.

I have used the HyperX Cloud II extensively in the past but with the CloudX primarily aimed at console users, there are some key differences. For instance, the Cloud II comes with a dedicated USB sound card, whereas the CloudX relies on onboard audio.

It is also worth noting that while the CloudX is primarily aimed at Xbox One owners as a Microsoft-approved product, it also happens to work on PC and even the PS4.
