Intel Core i9-12900K aparrently supports DDR5-8000 memory

The same leaker that shared the first Cinebench R23 single-core benchmarks for the Intel core i9-12900K has recently posted CPU-Z screenshots of the upcoming processor paired with 32GB of DDR5-8000 memory.

According to the CPU-Z screenshots shared by @hw_reveal, the system featured a Gigabyte Z690 Tachyon motherboard. The DDR5 memory modules were also from Gigabyte. Moreover, we can see that the two best XMP profiles of the memory. The first clocks the memory at 6400 MT/s with 42-42-42-84-127 timings at 1.45V, and the other one, clocks it at 6200MT/s with 38-38-38-76-125 timings at 1.5V.

However, the system was running with the memory overclocked to 8000 MT/s, but timings had to be severely increased to 50-50-50-100-150. Unfortunately, we couldn't confirm the modules' voltage on this profile, but considering the predefined XMP profiles, something around 1.5V seems reasonable.

A few companies have already begun announced DDR5 memory modules, with some even being available for purchase. We believe more manufacturers will release DDR5 modules once Z690 motherboards and 12th Gen Intel Core processors hit the shelves.

KitGuru says: As DDR5 technology matures, higher speeds and much lower timings should be achievable, but that will take some time.
