Apple to upgrade iPhone SE with A15 processor and 5G

This week, Apple officially announced its next hardware launch event, taking place on the 8th of March. We've already heard plenty of rumours around what to expect, and now, Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, has revealed more details on what should be the star of the show – the new iPhone SE.

We're expecting to see a new iPad Air, possibly a new MacBook and a new iPhone SE model announced at Apple's March event. According to Kuo, the new iPhone SE should make the jump to the A15 SoC and support 5G connectivity. In terms of design, Apple apparently won't change much about the iPhone SE, sticking to a similar form factor and design to the current SE model.

Kuo also expects that the new iPhone SE will sell between 25 and 30 million units this year, and will be available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage options.

The new iPad Air should also make the jump to Apple's A15 processor, which will provide significant gen-to-gen performance gains. Apple's March event officially takes place on the 8th of March at 6PM GMT.

KitGuru Says: What do you all expect to see from Apple at its event next week? So far, it seems that it will be great for new entry-level devices in Apple's line-ups but for new flagships, we'll be waiting until September and October.
