AOC looks to shake up the market with its high-spec, low price MiniLED gaming monitor

AOC is looking to take the gaming monitor market by storm with its latest MiniLED display. The new AOC Gaming Q27 series monitor offers an ideal spec for those looking for a high refresh rate QHD monitor, while also keeping prices down.

The AOC Gaming Q27G3XMN/BK offers a MiniLED display with 336 local dimming zones and DisplayHDR 1000 certification. The monitor also delivers QHD resolution and a 180Hz refresh rate, making it an ideal monitor for gaming, offering smooth and crisp visuals. You'll be able to make the most of that refresh rate with a more reasonably priced PC too, whereas a 4K monitor would require much more graphics power to run.

All of this comes at an unusually low price point too, with this monitor set to hit the market at £349, while offering specs we typically see in monitors that cost well over £500.

The Q27G3XMN/BK is equipped with an ergonomic stand that offers height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments, ensuring that every gamer can fine-tune their setup for maximum comfort. Features such as Flicker-Free technology and Low Blue mode are also present, so you can avoid eye strain during long gaming sessions.

As with other gaming monitors, this display also has a Shadow Control mode, allowing highlight levels to be adjusted to better see darker areas and there is a crosshair overlay that you can switch on to help with aim. As you would expect, the monitor also supports Adaptive Sync, so you can eliminate screen tearing too.

The AOC GAMING Q27G3XMN/BK will be available for purchase from late November/early December 2023, at an MSRP of £349.99.

KitGuru Says: While you can get quite a few gaming monitors at a cheaper price at the moment thanks to Black Friday sales, this AOC Gaming display will offer a great spec for its price all-year round.
