EA asks fans if they want remakes for Dead Space 2 and 3

It’s safe to say that EA Motive’s remake of the 2008 survival horror classic Dead Space has been a success, with the title’s reception by both fans and critics alike surpassing that of the original game. In the wake of this, EA is now asking fans whether they would like to see remakes for the game’s two sequels.

As reported by Twitter user ‘Dillon Rogers’ – who is also a dev at New Blood Interactive – EA has sent out a survey to Dead Space fans asking them whether they would like to see remakes of the two sequel titles, saying:

“How interested would you be in a similar remake of Dead Space 2 (2011)” as well as “How interested would you be in a similar remake of Dead Space 3 (2013)” with the options for responses being:

  • Not at all interested
  • A little interested
  • Somewhat interested
  • Very interested
  • Extremely interested

The Dead Space trilogy is interesting as fans generally agree that the first game is the best, with Dead Space 2 deviating slightly from the genre while still being good. Dead Space 3 meanwhile is much more controversial, and so it would be interesting to see what remakes of these two titles would look like – especially if they were adapted in a similar manner to that of Dead Space (2023).

Regardless of the responses to this survey, it is safe to assume that Dead Space 2 is on its way at some point; after all, the remake did manage to bring the series to new heights.

KitGuru says: What do you think of this survey? Would you like to see remakes for Dead Space 2 and 3? How should the team go about adapting these two specifically? Let us know down below.
