Remedy reveals new feature updates coming to Control Resonant

Control Resonant launched this week and, having spent a few days with it myself, I’m already convinced Remedy has something special here. With launch now behind us, Remedy has now begun sharing details on what's next, including major feature updates like New Game+ and a Photo Mode.

In a new blog post, Remedy has revealed that Control Resonant will soon receive several major feature additions, including expanded New Game+ options, a full Photo Mode and more cosmetic items for Dylan.

Once players finish the main story, Resonant already allows them to continue exploring altered Manhattan, clear remaining side quests, chase World Feats or start a New Game+ run. However, the current NG+ only supports a single replay. Remedy is now preparing an update that introduces New Game++, allowing players to chain NG+ runs indefinitely without wiping progress. According to the studio, NG++ is planned for October.

A dedicated Photo Mode is also on the way. Remedy says the feature has been in development for some time, with input from virtual photographers in the community, but it was held back at launch so the team could focus on overall stability. Photo Mode is expected to arrive in November, giving players proper tools to capture Resonant’s shifting environments and supernatural combat moments.

Beyond that, more cosmetic items for Dylan are in development. Players can already find outfits throughout the game, claim newsletter‑exclusive cosmetics or earn the “test dummy” outfit by watching Resonant being played on Twitch. Remedy plans to expand the wardrobe further in future updates, with details coming closer to release.

KitGuru says: I had concerns about Resonant’s big gameplay shift, but the new melee‑focused loop and open world work incredibly well. Have you picked up Control Resonant already? What do you think of the game so far?
