Lies of P sequel will seemingly be called ‘Wonders of O’

Amongst the many different Souls-likes which have been released over the years, one of the biggest standouts is Lies of P: A bloodborne-esque action title which many deem to be the best non-FromSoftware developed title in the genre. Released back in 2023, a sequel was quickly greenlit. While details on the project remain light, a new trademark for ‘Wonders of O’ has popped up, offering a hint as to what can be expected from the much-anticipated sequel.

As discovered by Reddit user ‘LastGrail’ the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) recently published a new trademark for the name ‘Wonders of O’. Filed by NEOWIZ (the team behind Lies of P) and classified as being “computer game software,” it can be safely assumed that the trademark pertains to the team’s next project.

Outside of its naming convention, which aligns neatly with Lies of P, Wonders of O is almost certainly the previously-announced sequel.

Spoilers: Those who completed Lies of P would know that the game ended with a teaser of Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, all-but-confirming that its sequel would take players to another classic fairytale world.

How long we’ll have to wait for an official announcement remains to be seen, especially given that NEOWIZ only recently confirmed that the sequel had entered “full-scale dev phase”. As mentioned however, said sequel was greenlit all the way back in 2023 and so it is possible that the team might have something to show sooner rather than later.

KitGuru says: What did you think of Lies of P? Are you excited by the prospects of a sequel? Assuming we play as Dorothy, how would you like the gameplay to evolve? Let us know down below.
